PSHE Education

VISION FOR PSHE

Our vision is that through our curriculum, our school environment, and our values and rights respecting agenda, we promote children’s self-esteem and emotional well-being and help them to form worthwhile and satisfying relationships, based on respect for themselves and for others, at home, at school, at work and in the community, and to develop confident individuals and responsible citizens with an array of life skills and the tools to lead a healthy lifestyle by making informed healthy choices.

At Bell Farm Primary School we provide a high quality planned curriculum based on PSHE Association guidance, SEAL (Social and Emotional Aspects of Learning), Christopher Winter programmes for RSE (Relationships and Sex Education) and Drugs and Alcohol Education, and the No Outsiders scheme.

Our 22 monthly values (such as honesty, respect, kindness, thoughtfulness, cooperation, fairness) are displayed in every classroom and around the school, and celebrated weekly in assemblies; they inform PSHE discussions and support children in developing an understanding of British values.
